LUNCH / DINNER
Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport → Hotel (36 km): Approx. 1 hr.
Upon landing in Bangkok, you will be welcomed at the very foot of the aircraft by a VIP escort that will fast-track you through the immigration process and assist you with your luggage. Then, immediately after speeding through immigration and customs, we’ll transfer you to your hotel.
This day ends blissfully: with a two-hour massage and spa treatment at your hotel.
BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER
The day begins with an appetizing breakfast at the hotel, after which your private guide will locate you in the hotel lobby and show you to your luxury van. The first stop along our trip is one of the oldest temples that Bangkok has to offer: Wat Suthat.
Here’s where you’ll first witness “Sangkhathan” — the resident monks’ morning chants. You’ll become entranced by the traditional Buddhist rituals that still take place today, all of which are as profound as they are interesting.
We’ll follow the “Sangkhathan” by moving on towards Wat Pho, one of Bangkok’s most captivating temples; inside it is the famed 45-meter long reclining Buddha statue. It is quite a sight to behold! You’ll watch as locals and tourists alike leave offerings for this timeless statue, while also having a chance to admire Buddha’s intricate footprint and captivating surroundings.
Afterward, the tour moves on to the Grand Palace, which has been the seat of the Royal Family of Thailand for over 200 years. You’ll be able to roam the expansive grounds, stroll on inside and examine the well-maintained temples, throne halls, and museums. Then, we’ll take you to visit the Emerald Buddha, one of the most admired Buddhist statues in Thailand. Here you’ll learn of its obscure origins.
Next, we’ll make a stop at Supanniga Eating Room (a riverside restaurant next to the Chao Phraya River) for a scrumptious lunch.
Following lunch, you’ll be taken down the very same Chao Phraya River by longtail boat, the traditional and often-used method of travel in Thailand. As you traverse these tranquil “khlongs” (canals), as those in Thailand have done for centuries, you’ll be taken further and further away from Bangkok’s monolithic modernities. Lastly, we’ll make one more stop at Wat Arun, the landmark commonly known as the “Temple of Dawn,” a must-visit location for anyone in Bangkok.
At the end of the afternoon you will be transferred back to your hotel, after which you’ll have dinner in Siam Niramit.
Hotel → Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (36 km): Approx. 1 hr.
We’ll begin this third and final day with one more delicious breakfast at the hotel before you check out of your hotel. At this point, all that’s left is transferring you to the airport in an exclusive, comfortable luxury vehicle.
